Our employment lawyers regularly review and draft executive employment agreements and provide day-to-day advice on employee discipline, discharge, confidentiality, non-competition, social security and other matters involved in the employer-employee relationship.
The emphasis of the employment practice is litigation avoidance and our lawyers work with clients to help them be proactive in preventing claims. We work with managers before a decision is implemented in the workplace, sometimes on short notice, and assist them with clearly articulating their business reasons. We negotiate collective bargaining agreements and so-called conduct adjustment agreements on behalf of our clients.
We also represent clients in connection with employment audits and investigations. If clients are sued, we defend them vigorously in court or against administrative procedures including labor complaints, collective actions, administrative defenses. When appropriate, we assist with conciliation and arbitration to resolve employment disputes.
